I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
